Food Lovers Heaven

Bangalore is a beautiful city. (I am not talking about the traffic) It is green, clean, has wide roads (without potholes) etc. The best thing about Bangalore is the food. There are so many options you have here. Right from authentic south indian food to continental, italian and last but not the least steaks and sizzlers. Its a paradise for food lovers. People here are not afraid to experiment. There is sugarcane juice shop named "Cane-O-La". They offer only sugarcane juice in 4 flavors. It is crowded in the evenings but still well managed. There are many such restaurants, small hotels etc. in Bangalore. The second best thing I loved about this city is the shopping capacity. You name it and you have it. Right from the famous silk to all kinds of western and Indian brands, you have it here. Huge malls and streets of shops dot the city. These 2 things are the highlights of Bangalore!!!!! Thanks to the IT boom :)

Happy Womens Day

Yesterdays newspapers were flooded with articles about equal rights for women, thier role in society, how they should be given an equal opportunity, how they are equivalent to their male counterpart in every sense and all such things. One small article which caught my eye was about "The glass ceiling". Do women always have the glass ceiling above them? I think that article was the only one close to reality. However forward women are right now, there are still some compromises they have to make in life. Its always a debate of who will sacrifice their career if one of them gets a job in a different location. A woman has to sacrifice her career to some extent once she enters the maternity stage!!! There are still some of these points which almost every woman has to go through in her life. Every woman has to make these difficult choices at some point in her life.
