Coorg is about 250kms from Bangalore and an ideal weekend destination; though a weekend is not enough to explore the beauty of Coorg. Coorg means dense forest on steep hills. Coorg is a district with 3 talukas namely Madikeri (capital), Somarpet and Virajpet.

We stayed at P N Heritage at Somarpet. This is the one of the most enchanting places I have seen. This was a homestay and the hosts were really warm and nice people. Service, cleanliness, food everything was a 10/10. The main profession of people here is Coffee and Black Pepper plantations, paddy fields and Sag wood plantations. It was awesome!

We visited places like talacauvery, abbey falls and 100s and thousands of acres of the Tata coffee estates. Talacauvery is the place where the river Cauvery originates. The drive from P N Heritage to that place is full of coffee plantations and turning and twisting roads. It was beautiful beyond words.
A visit to this place is a must and stay in P N Heritage is also worth an experience.
