A. R. Rehman

Wanted to gift G something really nice on this birthday. Was thinking of what I could give him like some electronic gadget, a nice holiday or something else. A friend suggested that A. R. Rehman is performing live in Pune on the 31st. Why dont you attend that show? I thought that this was the perfect gift I could give him as he wanted to see it and also because we had missed the show when it was in Chicago. The evening arrived and it was wonderful. With very neat arrangements, right from the parking to the entire show. A. R. Rehman was amazing. I need not tell how great he is. The variation in his voice is brought with such ease that common people like us feel that singing is so simple! The combination of Rehman on the piano and Hariharan singing was just mesmerizing. You just feel lost in a world which you have never seen and never experienced. When he sang the song "Khwaja Mere Khwaja" from Jodha Akbar, he took you to that world where you feel you are one with Allah! The laser effects, light effects and the other singers, dancers and musicians only added to the beauty of the show. A perfect compliment to a perfect singer and composer. The end of the show was unforgettable with the oscar winning "Jai Ho" and Rehman's signature song "Ma Tuzhe Salam". The fireworks which were displayed along with this song just added to entire enthusiasm and the atmosphere was something totally different, something which we had never experienced and something which we will never forget in the years to come!
