Marathi cinema has seen a 180 degree change in the past few years. A very good change I must say.
The recently released Natrang is a testimony to that. Atul Kulkarni is at his best in the movie. The duel part of a "nachya" played by him is awesome and leaves one wondering how difficult the life of a Tamaasha artist must be. Till the day I saw the movie, I knew Tamaasha as one silly type of dance, which was done just for the entertainment of men. But after seeing this movie, i realized that it is a very difficult and intense form of performing arts.
Atul Kulkarni is mind blowing. He had gained around 15 kgs for the first half of the film (where is shown as a simple farmer, heartthrob of the village who aims of playing the role of a king in the Tamaasha one day) and then reduced around 17 kgs for the second half where he plays the role of a "Nachya". It requires guts to accept such a role in the first place and then requires double the amount of guts, sincerity, capacity to carry off that role so beautifully.
The music is also very good and in synch with the movie. The last piece of the Dholki is so good that people are stuck to their seats till the whole piece is played, even though the movie is over. Very rarely do people sit throughout the credits displayed at the end.
The movie has excelled in each of its department including acting, direction, script, dialogues, music, dance, cinematography and everything you can think of.
A must watch!!

Its all about politics
Funny as it is, I dont understand.....
On one hand there is this peace concert being held which has artists from both sides of the border performing. This it seems will be a start to peace dialogues between the two countries. This also, it seems, is an endevour to enhance the relaitons between the two countries.
On the other hand you have arguements between the top officials, the government etc., about not hiring Pakistani players in IPL.
I am seriously confused over these two events!
Also if so much is happening anti-indians in Australia, then why are Australians not excluded from IPL?
Can somebody answer these basics doubts that I have?
